Flutter Tunnel: Making use of a temporary art installation to send 200 solar powered flashlights to Sierra Leone.

This website exists to educate you about our project 'Flutter Tunnel'. It is also a conduit for our fundraising efforts. We hope you appreciate our unconventional approach to creating environmentally responsible artwork with enduring social benefits, and will consider supporting Flutter Tunnel.

Our fundraising efforts are directed at one goal: Send 200 solar powered flashlights to Sierra Leone to distribute to rural school children. Flutter Tunnel is the impetus behind this idea. Destined for the annual Burning Man Festival in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada, Flutter Tunnel is a 1,000 foot long sculpture illuminated by 200 SunNight Solar powered flashlights.

The Flutter Tunnel crew will purchase 200 SunNight solar powered flashlights for 2 purposes:

1. To illuminate Flutter Tunnel for 7 days at Burning Man in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada, then-
2. Send the 200 solar powered flashlights to Schools for Salone to distribute to school children to study at night.
