Bland Hoke- Administration and logistics for Flutter Tunnel

Picture
Bland seeks waste to upcycle and repurpose into artwork which inspires, confounds and provokes a ponder or two. Bland has completed numerous large-scale installations including a 3 acre installation in Stone Hill Quarry Art Park in Cazenovia NY, an 8 ton modular chair lift cable sculpture on Aspen Snowmass Mountain in Snowmass Colorado, and most recently semi-sustainable snow sculpture on Snow King Mountain in Jackson WY broadcasting sound scapes via a solar powered sound system. Bland vowed to return to Burning Man with a gigantic installation, and it is blossoming into a beautiful, collaborative effort which is Flutter Tunnel.

Bland Hoke is the primary contact for Flutter Tunnel. Feel free to inquire with questions or comments.

Avery Resor- Fundraising, BoGo light advocate

Picture
Avery Resor graduated from Duke University in 2007 with a major in Environmental Science and Policy and a minor in Biology. Avery works as a cook and baker in Wilson, WY, while continuing her education by living in and fixing up a primitive cabin. After depending on a BoGo light in her electricity-less cabin, Avery is convinced of the practicality and durability of the solar-powered flashlights. Avery employs her fundraising experience and the creativity of the Flutter Tunnel crew to raise funds to buy 200 BoGo lights. Fundraising efforts have included a winter crepe/bacon stand and sequin scrap streamer sales, with more shiny events to come.

Hallie Sales- Optical materials specialist for Flutter Tunnel

Picture
Hallie Sales approached Bland Hoke with an idea to make incredibly shiny artwork, which begot tests with glitter, which begot sequins and sequin waste. Hallie is also a wonderful artist, fluent in body art, face painting and all the likes. This will be essential in representing our artistic efforts in the most comprehensive manner possible. Hallie is also the proud owner of a Toyota Previa mini van, capable of holding many small children, or in our case supplies and many of them.

Steve Rainier- Construction management and demolition expert for Flutter Tunnel

Picture
Steve Rainier graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in Construction management. He currently works at Skanska USA Building, and is fluent in managing and providing for unforseen construction dillemas. Steve is brute strength, and represents the oxen force that is necessary when facilitating enormous and expansive sculptures. Flutter Tunnel will weigh in at around 9 tons of steel and associated materials, which will require many hands or one Steve to deconstruct the installation.
